Being in the industry for over 19 years and taking out her region's Young Professional Stylist Award (back in the day), Sam has now expanded her career to running her own successful business as well as keeping her hand in the game on the floor doing what she loves in what nothing else could describe as being her first passion. Sam says "It's about building the relationship and contouring the style to each individual client's needs" and we can say hands down Sam has that same philosophy with not only every one of her clients.....but her employees too! For a healthy mind, exercise is her other love in life (along with her amazing partner Aaron of course!). Whether it's Pump class at the gym or climbing our beautiful Mount Maunganui to see the sunrise...she has even managed to get Aaron up there at the crack of dawn! "That view never gets old and I never take it for granted."

Even though Kristy is a qualified Hair Stylist, she has chosen to be behind the desk and keep everyone in line. Kristy is a true Naki girl at heart, so for her it’s all about family. She loves being at home spending time with her adorable husband James and their three fabulous teenagers. When Kristy gets any rare spare time you are likely to find her at her desk at home, scrapbooking and doing crafts.

With career successes with the likes of which Kate has seen, it would be forgivable for one to assume hairdressing is her one and only love. With 17 years experience under her belt, Kate has had the privilege of working in film, fashion and education internationally. However you are just as likely to find Kate, in the garden with her unruly son Baxter, vino in hand, musing over references for an up and coming editorial shoot.

Michelle has newly joined the team at Shine, and brings with her 19 years of experience in the hair and beauty industry. Michelle's talents lay in precision cutting and colouring, including education with the younger members at Shine. Michelle loves to create beautiful blondes and enjoys the challenges of colour correction. When Michelle is out of the salon you are likely to find her at the gym, or running after her two darling sons.

With just under 10 Years experience working with hair Nicole thrives in her career. Her greatest passion lies in wedding and formal work. Over the past few years Nicole has branched out into television, theatre and photographic industries, while maintaining her treasured cliental. On weekends Nicole likes to spend time climbing the Mount or renovating her house, or even sitting down to a cider at one of her favourite bars.

With 6 years experience in the hairdressing industry, Natalie definitely calls Shine home. Apart from short hair and beautiful blondes, her favourite part of hairdressing is her interaction with clients, meeting new people from all walks of life, and getting to share their stories. If Natalie's not in the salon, she loves living a healthy active lifestyle, from walking up the Mount to exploring the amazing local bush walks. Natalie always keeps busy, but she always finds time for friends and family, enjoying dinner or a few to many drinks with the girls.

For 2 years Millie has been our loyal assistant and growing stylist! At the start of her career her main passion is colour work and she loves to keep on trend with the latest fashions. Already Millie has been scouted to work on New Zealand Fashion week, and always likes to be part of ever evolving creative projects at Shine. You will find Millie in the salon most days, but when she's not, she will be catching up on the latest "IT" series on the web, whipping up a storm in the kitchen, or having a dance off with her girl pals.
